One published work can be read as Original, Bilingual, or Translation only. AI translation and Human translation are separate translation sources, and authors control permission for each independently.
AI translation can use a work-level glossary plus bounded previous-episode context and reuse a saved translation for the same episode, source version, and target language. When a published Human translation exists, readers can select it separately. Private file import, read-aloud, and publishing remain available.

On Free, public-work AI translation unlocks and My Library imports share a total allowance of 3 uses per day. Premium provides up to 30 public-work AI translation unlocks/day, no daily count limit for My Library imports, and storage for up to 20 library works.

Long-form AI translation consistency
AI translation combines a work-level glossary for names, proper nouns, organizations, and world-specific terms with bounded previous-episode context to reduce translation drift. Authors can adjust and lock glossary translations, but perfect consistency or human-level quality is not guaranteed.
AI and Human translation stay separate
Authors control AI and Human translation permissions separately. Human translation does not call OpenAI or consume AI allowance or credits, and it appears as a Reader source only when a published Human translation exists.
